Pool leak that ADDS water to pool

First it would be very helpful if you could post pics in this forum. I have an inground pool with a travertine deck. About an inch from the auto fill bucket, closest to the intake line that supplies water to the valve, there is a very small, slow leak that is coming up through the travertine seam when the pool water from the main line is turned on - when off no leak. I checked the auto fill valve and seems to working. The water line is above the valve from a recent rain - i pushed the valve down - oh yes its the old style - and it dispenses water and I do not see any bubbles or fell a leak form it. Also, the pool fill up from this leak- from equalizer? Thanks for your help as I am not familiar with pool plumbing. Thanks!

Where is the autofil connected, via the skimmer?
Seen this a few times as the action of the skimmer causes a slight drop in level due to the slight vacuum and that lets the autofill valve open.

The skimmer is in a separate box nearby and autofill is in its own canister right by it.
