Pool Overflowing II

Hello All,
I have a peculiar problem in my in-ground pool. I have water being added to my pool. I first thought it was due to a malfunctioning auto-fill valve. So, I removed the valve and plugged the water inlet. However, the problem persists. I have to drain the pool every 2-3 days to prevent is from overflowing. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

I post under the subject "Pool Overflowing II" as I noticed there was another thread some time back with a similar problem. However, the thread did not seem to have any resolution in the end.

Do you have a raised spa? If so there should be at least one check valve to check for failure.
