Air pressure testing question
Air pressure testing question
I'm in the middle of a remodel. They have isolated all of the supply and return lines, put on pressure gauges and have pressured each of the individual lines to 30PSI with air to test for leaks before they pour the deck. Question is, how much of a pressure drop is acceptable over what period of time before I should assume all is well/not well? It's been about 6 hours and there's been about a 1/2PSI drop in some of the lines...however the air temp has dropped from 68F at test time to 53F now. Is there a common rule or formula to follow?

We usually consider a loss of 1# per minute significant. The pressure loss you mention, 1/2# over 6 hours, is negligible - I wouldn't worry about it.

Air pressure testing question
Looks like there has been less than a 2PSI drop over 36hours. Sounds like everything is good to go. You can check it out on my blog at poolremodel.blogspot.com
