pool water is green
Just setup this pool 18 x 48 above ground pool filled with well water that has iron in it the pool water is green tried everything HELP

Get the water tested.
Balance the chemicals - you probably need to adjust hardness & alkalinity, maybee ph.
Run you filter the regular amount of time per day.
Keep chlorine in th epool via a floater.
Use shock treatment once a week, I swear by smart - shock it does not affect my ph.
Have water tested weekly or bi-weekly.
Necessary steps for good pool water.
When the weather turns really hot you need to make sure you are on top of the chlorine level - you may need to add some algacide weekly.
To get rid of the green - balance chemicals - use algicide and shock run filter extended period of time - maybe continuously - should clear up in 48 hours.
