My pump was working good till it suddenly went dry.
After closing main drain and letting skimmer open the pool does prime,
So i have a leak somewhere in main drain but, i have no idea where i should search.
Could it be at the main drain(bottom pool) opening cause it is always full of water so i dont think it could be there.
Anybody have any idea?

Re: Pool main drain leak
Are you noticing any water loss
Normally a dry pump is a suction side air leak
Do you shut the main drain off at the pad
Can you open the main drain once it's primed and does air then collect in the pump pre-filter basket

Re: Pool main drain leak
i found the problem, there was a broken tile cutting against the flex pvc pipe and it had a pretty big cut
