We recently bought a house with a pool and are new to pool maintenance. Both the skimmers were not working. We got a leak test done, and there was a leak right underneath one skimmer which has been fixed. We are getting both new skimmers put in. But the line to the skimmer farther from the pump has a Flexi pipe and seems to be disintegrating.
Is there a way to replace it without digging up the entire concrete. It seems to be a very expensive option. We just got a new pump and heater put in.
Can I cut up a small part of the concrete to the back wall (which will be 2 ft instead of 15 ft to the pump) and run a PVC pipe over ground to the pump? I have not seen this done anywhere. Is it just because of aesthetics or is will there be water pressure issues?

Re: Skimmer line leaks
You won't have any pressure issues, just a trip hazard and untidy
