Erratic pressure, DE media in pool

Erratic pressure, DE media in pool
Four days ago backwashed, rinsed and reload with DE. Everything seemed fine like the last 7 yrs. Two days later noticed DE in pool. Checked pressure, it read 10# when directing all return to jacuzzi. Redirected all return to pool, pressure dropped to 2# Normally 30#, 28#. Also lots of bubbles from jets. Turned off pump. Next day started with timer as usual, pressure directed to jacuzzi 26#, directed to pool 10#. Pool service says crack in FNS48 filter manifold. Would this account for all of these symptoms:?
