Inground Pool Leak & Unlevel

Postby Hecpooh » Sun 16 Dec, 2007 12:39

Hello
We noticed our pool unlevel about two months ago. Now the pool is leaking substantially. We shut off automatic filler yesterday and it dropped another 2-3inches in 24 hours. Pool is 1 1/2 years old. What can we do?

When you say pool has become unlevel, what made you notice? How is it or what is unlevel?

Also what type of pool? plaster-fiberglass-vinyl

You can run a little test for problem with loosing water to know if leak is in pool or only when pump is running.
First shutoff pump & auto-water filler for 24-hrs & see if if you loose water. If it does loose water without pump & auto filler running, wait & see if it stops leaking & levels off anywhere.
Then see what's just above it, Skimmer, pool-light, return lines & this would be where problem leak is.
If theres no water lose, then turn on equipment & run pool. If you loose water it's in pool lines or equipment.

No matter how it is leaking & pool not being level you should contact the pool builder you had install it & talk to them about problems. You should have a warranty that covers it.
