I have an old pool which has cast iron plumbing which has apparently crackeed and is leaking (at both supply and discharge lines) Is it better to do the repair now or wait til spring. I have essentially closed the pool.

Are you sure it's cast iron? Most old pools used copper lines. Either way, if the equipment isn't going to be run you can repair it whenever you have the time to do it.

I would definitely suggest hiring a company now. Most renovations are done in the spring so pool companies are very busy and it will probably cost you more to do it in the spring.
