We just had our pool re plastered, one spot in particular , the shell was down to the reed bar, and was rusted and it was certain this was one of the leaks, we had four other spots, this one with the reed bar was the worst, to repair, the pool contractor, went and got a box of "Rocktight" and mixed in a 5 gallon bucket and smeared up and down and covered the reed bar and told my wife and I that is how it gets fixed, he told us the other spots were sealed by the plaster, I find it hard to believe this will stop the leaks, for now, the pool holds water and looks great, but what will happen in a year or two, can someone PLEASE advise me if this all make cents
Thanks, we are lost with this !

There are waterproofing agents and sealants that you can paint your pool with them. They can offer you complete waterproofing solutions for positive water pressures.
The other dangers for pools and rebar is the negative water pressure from the ground. This you can do nothing about after the pool is made.
