I have a marble plaster pool that needs resurfacing. I would like to know if its a good idea to resurface it with fibreglass?? If so, what are the common problems and approximately how long will it last??

Anything that is not widely accepted as a common procedure by the pool industry, is most likely not a good idea. You should devote some time to study your options, it will be worthwhile.
From the construction point of view the application of plastic on concrete is not natural in a way of establishing a lasting bond.
In this forum you will find lot of opinion and most will be bias or subjective.
It is not where you should shop for a green light for an experiment that may cost you $4.000-5.000.
Remember one important thing, though.
We all love a bargain. But It is of the utmost importance to hire competent and skillful crew.
