Gelcoat on Fiberglass pool

Postby manjosam » Tue 04 Aug, 2020 11:27

Please help. What is happening to my pool. What is the cause. The manufacturer says it is not enough calicum in water and the gelcoat has weakened. I have pictures. I have been so careful with this pool. I can't get help from the manufacturer.

I had the same problem it was bubbling and coming loose. I had to have the whole thing recoated
Calcium doesn't affect fibreglass pools and isn't necessary but after 12 years you will have little redress from the manufacturer
Be careful draining as any water will float it out like a boat unless you have a hydrostatic valve in the main drain
