Does anyone know if it is possible to use any plastic waterproof paint for pools. If not, why not ,as they seem to have the same properties and pool paint is so much more expensive. Thanks Barbara

Pool paint is chemical resistant and can stand up to large doses of acids and chlorine. Rgular paint won't do this.

normal paints or waterproof paints are not designed to be submrsed in water. Osmotic blistering occurs and causes the paint to delaminate. look for a good epoxy painthttp://www.line-a-pool.comthis works
