pump housing leakage

Postby nettlebob1 » Mon 18 Jun, 2018 14:43

I have a Hayward super11 pump housing that has a persistant slight leak at the top of housing due to one bolt housing that is loose.
replacing the housing insert didn't work. The pump seems to run fine and doesn't lose prime. My question is : If it working ok now should there be any urgency to replace the housing?

Although not perfect I would give it a go as it is working OK
You could replace it and have the same problem later
