if i clean my pool and backwash and rinse it till water is clear,
and i let my pump on filter after a while my pool is full of sand again
i checked the spider gausket and that was fine, i think it might be the laterals but i read somewhere that when they are broken u get bigger pieces of sand in your pool, in my pool its almost like dust when u try to touch it it goes away.
i just dont feel like getting all the sand out of the filter with a plastic cup only to find out that wasn't the problem.
thanks

Re: sand in pool
Are you sure it's sand, if it is where would it come from except your filter
If you vacuum the sand to waste then put the multi port to bypass or recirculate see if more appears
If none appears then set the MPV to filter if more sand appears then you have a filter problem or possibly to fine a sand in the filter

Re: sand in pool
When backwashing everything works in reverse through the filter
The pool water goes in through the laterals and out through the normal inlet, backwashing the filter
The flow is sorted in the correct direction by the MPV
The only thing that I can see is there is to much sand in the filter and it's getting flushed back and a bit stuck in the MPV which washes out into the pool
Do you rinse after backwashing, that should remove any excess left in the MPV
It does seem your laterals and internals are OK
