Hi Everyone
Sorry, new here - this is my first post, looking for help.
My pump seems to have packed in. The motor just stopped turning. It works for about 20-30 mins if i take the basket out, and get my hand in and turn the motor manually. Any idea what the problem could be? Am i looking at a new motor, or can this be repaired?
Thanks in advance....
Pump Woes.

Don't try to run it anymore. Even though the motor is protected for overheat when it can not start, it does not do any good to the shellac on windings.
Take of the start and run capacitors/condensers. You may only have one there.
Take a snapshots how they were connected.
You can have them checked in the A/C supply house or Pool supply warehouse.
I would buy and replace both. It is still a lot cheaper than to call a pool service guy.

If it has packed in then you'll have to replace it or ask for professional help. Pool parts aren't difficult to get a hold off but you should know whether nothing can be salvaged from it or if some component doesn't work!
