Won't Prime -- Bubbles in Hose

Opening pool after 3 years. Replaced bad hoses.
Won't prime.
Changed rubber gasket on motor cover. No change
When I turn the motor on a mixture of water and bubbles make it 3/4 of the way from the motor to the sand filter 6 way valve which Ialso replaced.
The are 2 outlets in the pool. One is sending water out. The other is not.
No water seems to be going down the skimmer.
Can't see the floor skimmer.

Obviously air is getting into the system
Any suggestions?

Is there a product what I can put around the hoses and motor cover that will show where the air leak is?
