RETURN JET ADJUSTMENT

Postby PaulInOntario » Wed 08 Jun, 2005 20:04

How do you adjust the angle of the return jet in an inground pool. I shut off the pump removed the 4 screws for the outer ring but the ring wouldn't budge & the circular piece in the centre wouldn't turn by hand at all. Is there a special tool required to do this.

RETURN JET ADJUSTMENT

i use the handle of a slim plastic scrub brush or a screwdriver handle to adjust jets. stick it directly into the "eyeball" of the return jet to get some leverage and turn slowly to the position you would like the jets to be in. you may get a good deal of resistance at first if they haven't been adjusted in a while, just keep up the slow, firm pressure until they unstick.
