PVC Pipe Cutting

Postby stonerushpilot » Mon 18 Apr, 2016 18:41

Hello - We're excited to install our new energy saving Intelliflo Variable Speed Pump, but first I need some advice. questions. I'm going to have to cut the existing 2" PVC pipe. What is the best way to do this? I don't really want to use a hack-saw because I'm not confident of a straight cut. Is there a special tool someone can recommend? For stainless steel tubing, which I am most used to dealing with in my job, I would use a tube cutter, but I've seen these jaw type ratchet cutters. Is this what I should go with? I'm worried that the original pipe will be brittle now and will crack with this sort of force. Any advice on this would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance for any advice you can give me.

Chris
