HAYWARD PUMP "Drive Error" "Pump has Stalled"

Our Hayward pump says "Drive Error" "Pump has Stalled."
The pump was working fine and our pool maintenance company connected our new Polaris. The polaris has been acting funny like something is stuck in the pipe. Then I noticed the water level was low in the Hayward pump. I made sure the impeller is rotating and filled up the water and tried to restart it , but it has the same error message. Also our pool maintenance person fixed a leaking connection in the sweep pump. Could this have contributed to the low water level of Hayward pump causing the drive to fail?
