My Pool: 10x4 mostly in ground. Hayward 1hp Power line pump. Sand filter

Pump capacitor connection

Postby Novice100 » Sat 15 Apr, 2017 09:12

Hello, As my username suggests, I am a pool novice. Last winter I removed my Hayward pump (Power line 1HP) to keep it dry, making a note of the connections etc. Now I want to refit but can not find my noes on connections. School boy error!!
Anyway, it all looked pretty simple as there is a diagram inside the electrics lid. However, I notice the one of the two black wires from the capacitor is not connected to anything. The other is connected to the terminal block in the same hole as the red wire from the motor. Could some experienced person point me in the right direction? Or must I call in an electrician!! Many thanks,
