while installing a new pump for my neighbor, I noticed the position of the black 'selector' connector with two wires does not line up well with the 110/220 label on the white plastic connector plate.
when the 'selector' is moved far enough down so the top white plastic connector holddown screw is visible (and no further), the pump is set for 110VAC use.
If this position is incorrect the pump breaks and dumps water.
My neighbor got me involved after two failed pump install attempts.
it's not so much my neighbor as it is poor attention to detail on label placement at the Chinese manufacturing site.
