I've tried undoing the nipple but it's really jammed tight

Removing nipple from Hayward Vari flow valve
I need to replace the flexible pipe between pump and flow valve. It looks like previous owner has over tightened the fixings as they are a little burred.
I've tried undoing the nipple but it's really jammed tight
Any ideas and suggestions how to resolve?
