Foreclosure with pool
Foreclosure with pool
Hello all, first post, I’ve done some research but having trouble finding much. Hoping for some insight so thanks in advance, and let me know if I need to get more info. Buying a foreclosure, it has an in ground fiberglass pool. Not sure of the size. It’s shaped like an arrow and has a deep end with a diving board. My question is: it has a filter and pump in the pool house with piping coming up through the ground, but is what I have worth trying to use? And what else do I need to make it functional. And how do I hook all of this up. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

Re: Foreclosure with pool
Looking at your images I would be inclined to scrap it and start afresh noting where the various piping origonates
We would need to know the size of your pool to advise on filter, pump and associated equipment
Teapot is an expert on filtration and he will be able to advise on what to get when we have more knowledge of your pool capacity

Re: Foreclosure with pool
Dennis I do dislike the term expert. I know some.
As Dennis said we could really use some idea of the size of your pool to start with. The number of wall skimmers and returns. I dislike DE powder, to much work, to expensive and there are/will be health concerns as it is high in free silica. Small horizontal filters are horrible so I seriously suggest you replace that and the pump which will be very inefficient by today's standards. Maybe some pictures as you have mastered that skill already.
