piping problem

I think I have a plumbing installation problem ever since I've had my pool intsalled. When I turn the valve to the Spa position the water will drain from the spa unless I disconnect the Polaris hose frome the wall and plug the fitting on the wall. Any ideas as to what is going on. This is the only way I can use my spa.

The polaris is a suction cleaner or a return cleaner?
