last year I was getting air in the system, dug up my pool lines and found a hole that looked like something ate through it. Fixed it by cutting out the piece and installing a new piece. This year the same problem but worse air in the lines. I dug again, found the other line next to it with the same type hole and the new piece I put in on the other pipe had one new hole with what looks to be something eating it in 5 places all in the same area, The holes are about 1/16 of an inch.
Has any one seen this before?? Of course the pool guys in my area have never seen this. I live in New Jersey, soil is fairly sandy, lots of iron ore in the soil, pipes are the flexible type for in ground pools.
I am thinking of adding an insecticide around the pipes before I fill back the holes - any ideas if and what to use??
Thks
