I cant seem to figure it out...I prime, checked for leaks, added more DE and still cant seem to get good water pressure in the filter or exiting.
Anyone have any ideas?

You could have a clogged line, a leak in a line, a clogged impeller, or an extremely dirty filter. Have you tried cleaning the filter?

yes I took it all apart and cleaned out the filter and hosed down the blades.

seems to be not enough DE in the filter system. When added...it was circulating just fine.

how about next issue....how can i keep suction up when trying to vaccum???

To keep up the pressure, can you isolate any of the skimmers or drain with a valve?

In other words close down things like the drain while you're vacuming, it'll boost the hose pressure. If that's not enough, try closing off a skimmer.

If you don't have any isolation valves, I use a small rubber ball that's larger than the pipe opening in the skimmer bucket. The pump should suck it down and seal the opening. Use it to plug off the skimmer for a while....while you vac the pool.
