Hi. I found I have crack in a tee insert into 1 1/2" ABS pipe for the first return jet in my pool. I have a replacement insert but I'm wondering what the best way to go about replacing it is.
This is what it looks like:
I contacted two local pool stores. One said they won't touch this at all because it's black ABS. The other seemed hesitant but is going to get back to me.
Does this look like something a professional can easily do or does this look difficult?
I'm considering replacing this myself but am worried I won't be able to lift/lower the left/right pipes enough to get that insert out then put in a new one. Any advice appreciated.

Should be a DIY job, just give it some muscle.

Clear some of that gravel to give your self some more movement
You may have to cut the old tee to get the fitting out ofthe pipe easier
Is the new fitting barbed as this will make it difficult to remove (maybe some gentle heat may soften the pipe)
