Pump Impeller Obstruction

Postby jetech22 » Sat 04 May, 2019 12:50

I am a victim of having mesquite tress with tiny needle type leaves that fall constantly near my pool. They manage to make it through the skimmer and trap baskets and clog the impeller restricting proper flow. I have dealt with it for years by taking the pump apart at the impeller and removing the leaves with a pick. I have tried the product that looks like womens panty hose, but that restricts the flow worse than the impeller obstruction. Anyone have any ideas on how to keep these leaves from bypassing my baskets and reaching the impeller? Thanks in advance

Fit a pond drum filter, very high flow and self cleaning.
