Barbed fittings grrrr

I've used 5/8 irrigation tubing in the past. Lowe's has compression fittings. Also barbed.
Making a solar pool heater now. All I saw at Lowe's for 3/4 black poly tubing are Barb fittings. Using them, a coupling for instance takes the 3/4 pipe down to maybe 1/2 when inserted. Grrrrr. Are there comp fittings available similar to the 5/8 at Lowe's, home Depot etc for 3/4 I'm missing. I need the full 3/4 I think. Thanks

I found 3/4 compression fittings similar to the 1/2" ones Lowe's etc sells if anyone's interested.
