Our houses pool was built in 2008.
We have the 2 inch round jet nozzles around the pool but, what are these large round ones for? Can't tell if they work or what they do, even when the pump runs. They are about 8 inches round. They are about half between the surface and floor bottom.

Lower intakes, often used if there is a chance of water restrictions and water drop below skimmer level (would require a plug in the skimmer) if you can turn them off its better, they reduce the skimmers effectiveness
