- My Pool: Eight year old, 18 ft round above ground pool with Hayward sand filter and pump.
Threaded part of pool pressure gauge broke off and is stuck in filter .
Husband went to replace pressure gauge. Unfortunately, the gauge’s threaded shaft, broke and part of it is stuck in the filter. Now we can’t put the new pressure gauge in.

Buy an easy out kit. These are left handed threads that fit into the hole and bite into the sides allowing you to unwind the broken part out. A bit of WD40 always helps.
