New Pool Heater Install..

Hi there. I am going to install a new pool heater this week and like always, some PVC needs to be cut and rerouted. I am trying to identify what the importance of these components are. There is a 1" pipe that connects the 2" pipe going into the existing heater from the filter and coming out going to the pool. Never seen this before on my previous pools. Also haven't seen this orange colored translucent pipe. Can anyone tell me what it is for and if I need to keep it? I am limited on where I can cut and reroute so I am trying to figure out what can go and what needs to stay.
