Hi all. I am thinking of adding a variable speed controller/inverter (probable the certikin inverter) to my setup to reduce running costs and looking for some advice to the following:
1. Will my pump work with one (Sta-Rite 5P2RD 0.75hp with a 12m3/hr rating)?
2. Will a reduction in pump rate stop my heatpump working (Calorex 710 single phase)?
3. Will a reduction in water passing through the heat pump mean it will need to activate for longer, ie will the saving on the lower speed off the pump be taken up by the heat pump?
My setup is a 45,000 litre pool with a triton tr-40 filter.
Hoping someone can offer some help.
Thanks
