My pool pump recently lost some pressure and is below normal PSI (normal is 13 PSI+) running at 8-9 PSI now. Cleaning the pool with the vacuum & hose drops the pressure to almost 0. I checked the impeller to see if any blockage, both strainer baskets, checked and cleaned the filter, and checked for any leaks in the lines that can draw air. Dont think anything is clogged in the lines as leaves are able to reach the pump basket.
Anyone have any ideas on what to check next? Some are saying replace capacitor or the impeller?

Re: Pool pump is just below normal PSI
Does the pump basket have air in it when vacuuming
Do you make sure your vacuum hose is full of water before connecting
Have you checked the pump basket lid "O" ring and greased with silicon grease
If the capacitor was bad then it wouldn't run
Did you take the pump apart to check the impellor for blockage
