How to limit GPM and bypass anything over?

Postby mvoltin » Wed 26 Aug, 2020 08:57

I read somewhere but can no longer find the source or name:

There is a valve that allows certain GPM to go through and anything over gets redirected (bypassed). Here is a specific example:

If a heater can handle up to 10GPM but the overall system flow varies from 10-30GPM, valve (or something else) needs to let up to 10GPM through towards the heater and then redirect (bypass the rest of the water. So, the overall flow doesn't get reduced (it can be 30GPM) but the flow through the heater will remain 10GPM at all times.

Thank you.

My OZONE Generator AOP 25 has one of those valves. It is called Del check variable rate check valve. Not sure if they are always called that name.
