Skimmer not sucking

I cant figure this out, all of a sudden my skimmer stopped sucking. Its still sucking from the main drain. I'm not loosing water so its not a leak. I put a hose in it from skimmer side and water comes out to the pump so I don't think there is blockage. When I turn the valve to cut the main drain off so its just sucking from the skimmer hardly any water comes out and there's hardly any suction from the skimmer. Could someone help me figure this out before I pull up all my pavers and just replace the line. Thanks in advanced

Water up to the correct level? You are pulling air somewhere and you could try a hose into the skimmer.

Water is at the correct level, I did put a hose to it with one of those adapters that blow up so water can't get buy and still won't suck. A note the pump never fills up completely.
