I have a Hayward C150S filter on our pool. When I went to clean the filter, the lock ring became detached from the filter head. I depressed the red button and turned counter-clockwise as usual, but the lock ring can now move up and down without bringing the filter head with it. The filter head appears to still be sealed as I can't simply pull it off.
What is my next step? How do I detach the filter head? How do I reattach the lock ring to the filter head (or do I have to purchase a new one)? This is a pretty new filter - probably about a year old.
