Pool noob mega confused

Postby seanchadwick2k3 » Tue 15 Jun, 2021 15:18

Hi

I'm a newbie to the pool world so apologies if I miss out vital information but I will try to provide as much as I can.

Ive recently purchased a 10 ft Intex fast set pool along with 3 solar mats and the pump etc.

I planned on putting the mats on the roof of an out building and quickly realised the pump that came with the pool is not very powerful at all.

I have now purchased a new pump but I have two issues

My first issue is that the new pump has a 50mm OD inlet and outlet and I'm currently using the normal Intex pipework. I've googled it to death to try and find the correct fitting to adapt the two but I'm lost with it to be honest.

My second issue is that I'm worried this pump is going to be way to powerful for what I'm doing and I don't want it to blow the mats but I'm an amateur with all this so it's all guess work with regards to flow and head pressure etc.
Here's the info anyway

Intex 10ft easy set pool
Clarke SPP07 0.75 hp pump 333 L/Min max 15M head

1.25 inch ID Intex style flexible pipe
From the pump outlet will be
2.2 meter rise to the roof
3 meter straight run to the first of 3 Intex solar mats (max flow 151 l/m) loops through 3 of those and then back down to the pool.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks
