Where is Davey Tagelus 230 drain plug?

Postby jcpabc » Tue 30 Nov, 2021 06:33

Hi,
I want to change the sand of the filter. I tried to find where the drain plug is at the bottom. But I don't see anything at all. Please help.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202111 ... 0b245a.jpg

Probably doesn't have one, my sand filter doesn't
Not an easy job, use a wet vac

Its actually a Pentair filter, usually the drain is at the bottom in the stand. Same as the TR range TR60 etc.

Finally done. Drain the water from the top, not easy.

PIA, I think I would fit a drain whilst I was there. Nasty down in there. Have you considered DR Drydens Activate AFM ng media, its the best, filters finer to 1 micron easier to backwash and doesn't biofoul as its self sterilising. Lasts for the life of your pool.
