Skimmer problem

When Pool shuts off the skimmer basket throws up. Meaning water comes shooting back out of it. What would cause this? :roll:

Not necessarily. The pump going off can cause a momentary back surge which can push the basket up. I have come across this often.

The solution is easy - put a stone or similar heavy thing in the basket and it won't flip.

If you put a weight in the basket make sure it is bigger than the port in the bottom of the skimmer in case it drops in.Or just plumb a check valve between the pump and the filter.
