no flow return

this is the 3rd year with my sand dollar filter. I changed the sand this year. Put everything back together. Pump runs fine, there is plenty of suction when I back wash. But NO SUCTION drawing water into pump, or doesn't shoot water back into pool. PLEASE HELP

When you backwash you get suction but set on filter you get nothing, if that right?

Are the drain plugs out of the return lines?

From what you're saying there would be a blockage somewhere from the filter back to the pool. That includes at the filter itself.
