New pool pump

[Dead pump]

Hi,
We have bought an older home with a very large old concrete pool. The sand filter is ancient and the pump died yesterday. We plan to fill in this old pool..build a garage on top of it and install a new pool, as yet undecided if this will be concrete or fibreglass...depebds on $. Anyway...dilemma...can we buy a pump, chlorinator etc for this pool and transfer to new pool later??

yah why not. buy good stuff. and in the futre hope it will still be in good shape
