I am new to pool maintenance and have been following all the instructions given to me by my landlord . My water is clear but I have recently got a purple dust/ sand on the floor of my pool. I have hoovered 3 times along with a back wash and everthing looks clear but every time I turn on the pump it all comes back out can any help with this would be much appreciated

Well you need to correct the things that might cause this but to get rid of it add a polymer clarifier as per label. Vacuum all the stuff, slowly, and to waste, not filter.
