My pool: inground, 24,000 gallons, salt water

Problem: One week after opening - water clean, but cloudy, next day GREEN
We had a boat load of rain with severe storms, hail...even a tornado nearby

Pool store tested levels before it turned green:

FC: 0.5
TC: 3
pH: 7.5
TA: 90
CH: not tested
CYA: 2

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6 days later, still green
Here are the levels. Tested by us....not the pool store
we just shocked with 5 POUNDS of shock

FC: 10
TC: 16
pH: 7.6
TA: 40
CH: 250
CYA: 0

Ok, you are going in right direction but shocking a pool is a process and not a product. You need to keep the chlorine at around 10ppm with regular additional doses of chlorine. With near zero CYA you're going to struggle to keep the chlorine level unless you have a dark coloured cover. If you keep adding shock use dichlor chlorine rather than trichlor to add extra CYA and don't use calcium hypochlorite (HTH) as that won't add any CYA.
This process could take 3-4 days done correctly or a bit longer. The water will go cloudy blue/grey from dead algae before it begins to clear.

After scrubbing, vacuuming, and doing the triple shot overnight the pool is blue but it’s pretty cloudy but at least we’re back to where we were here’s our latest readings

FC 12
TC. WAY high
pH. 7.2
TA 120
CH. 500
CYA 12

The shock that we used last night was dichlor chlorine. We don’t have a dark tarp.
Is there anything else we can do?

Thank you SOOOO much !

Thank you so much for the words of encouragement ! Here are today's readings: (I am a little concerned that we might be developing some white algae...we had this issue last year)

FC 10
TC. 10 ++
pH. 7.2
TA 80
CH. 500
CYA 0

Do the pool stabilizers add cyanic acid or are they not worth the bother?

White algae is usually mold. You are just going through what all of us have at some point.
Keep the chlorine level up and you'll clear the pool quicker.

Pool stabilisor is Cyanuric acid
For every 10 ppm Free Chlorine (FC) added by Trichlor, it also increases Cyanuric Acid (CYA) by 6 ppm.
For every 10 ppm FC added by Dichlor, it also increases CYA by 9 ppm.
For every 10 ppm FC added by Cal-Hypo, it also increases Calcium Hardness (CH) by at least 7 ppm
