Guys need help!

So yesterday my numbers where
FC -.6
PH - 7.6
CYA - 50
Alk- 100

Used pool calculator and added 3 (128 oz jugs) gallons of chlorine to start SLAM process, pump has run all night and just tested water and numbers are

FC - 2.0
PH - 7.2
CYA - 50
Alk- 110

This damn pool is going to be the life of me.

I have a 17 ft, above ground pool with sand filter. I’ve back washed twice a day. Thanks

What are you saying?
Did you expect the FC to be higher?
Why are you slamming?
SLAM stands for shock level and maintain. With a CYA of 50 you need a shock level of 20 Chlorine / CYA Chart
You need sufficient chlorine to raise to 20 and keep it there, testing frequently not waiting overnight

Sorry guess I should have elaborated, was on vacation for 5 days and in law didn’t add weekly chlorine. Had a little algae bloom. Was trying to shock to get levels up for SLAM process however I wasn’t sure why levels didnt raise to the 20PPM that the pool calculator advised me to go up to

Depends on the strength of the chlorine, how much chlorine gets used up killing the algae but as Dennis said you just need to add more chlorine.
