New Stonescapes Plaster Help

Postby Ailhei » Sun 29 Aug, 2021 12:30

It’s been exactly 31 days since my pool has been filled. Our equipment has not worked and the water quality has been horrible as a result. pH has been higher than 8 most of this time. PB has not added chlorine and now we have a huge algae problem. Trying to determine if this will negatively affect my plaster quality since it has been so long. The PB has been trying to get all equipment working but it’s been difficult with supplies because of the current world problems. I just need to know if I should request new plaster since mine has been curing with bad water?

Without chlorine the algae will start attaching to the walls and will be harder to eradicate as it rootes into the surface. Sounds like another idiot pool builder.
I may not give you the answer you want to hear, but I will give an honest opinion of your situation as you decribe it.

I’m concerned with stains on my new plaster as well as negative effects of the super high pH during curing? Very frustrating.
