How do you raise the CYA?

Algae problems in swimming pool water.
Green (cloudy) water or slimy pool walls.
Black algae. Mustard algae. Pink or white pool mold.

How do you raise the CYA?

The CYA eading in my pool is low and I don't know what to do to raise it.

Get cyranic acid.

It's also called stabilizer/conditioner.

Or you can use a stabilized source of chlorine for a while -- slow-dissolving Trichlor pucks/tabs or fast-dissolving Dichlor powder/graunules. For every 1 ppm Free Chlorine (FC) you add with Trichlor, you also get 0.6 ppm CYA. For every 1 ppm FC you add with Dichlor, you also get 0.9 ppm CYA.
