I didn't cover my pool for winter. I did lower water level to below filter. How should I proceed to clear water and start up pump and all for summer swim. Is adding shock in large doses going to clean up the winter murk?

You want to get a leaf net and get as many leaves out as possible!

Then hook up filter and start adding bleach running filter 24/7.

Once it clears, test for PH, TA, CYA and add accordingly.

If you're not sure what to add, post your test result #'s and we'll be glad to help!
