Blue water

Algae problems in swimming pool water.
Green (cloudy) water or slimy pool walls.
Black algae. Mustard algae. Pink or white pool mold.

Blue water

My water is blue...any suggestions as what causes this but mainly please help me and tell me what I can do to get rid of the blue?????

Check the copper levels. Copper in chlorinated pool water can often cause a clear blue color.

Also take a look at the chemicals you are using. Perhaps one of them is causing the color.

when looking at the chemicals I use...what am I looking for that could be causing the problem??

Copper containing algaecide, clarifiers or water "brighteners" that may have a color cast, flocculant or clarifier that turns the water a hazy blue immediately when added.

it may be caused by copper algaecides, ionizers, or corrosion of copper and brass pipes, fittings and heaters.
Shock treatment with sodium or lithium hypochlorite, accompanied by constant filtration and use of a clarifier.
